My brother and his family came to visit from mid Wales, and we decided to have a family lunch at the Soho Tavern, because we had all eaten there pre-Covid. However, this was not the Soho Tavern we visited pre-Covid. There were 5 of us in the party and ordered 3 Medium Soho Grills, 1 Chicken Tikka Biryani and 1 Chicken Karai Pot, I boiled rice and 2 nan breads. Pleasant but don’t think I would go again, Food was nice, Nann bread was nice however there is no way that portion size is adequate, 3 small quarters of nann bread is not enough. Atmosphere was social, one quiet loud group that we were sat by which was annoying but apart from that atmosphere was good, decor is nice, staff friendly. Really really wasn’t keen on the fact you have to go to a bar to order your drinks and pay, then navigate between tables of people eating to get to another till by the kitchen to order your food. This is a chaotic system and I wasn’t impressed by it, for this reason I won’t return. Seemed more hassle than it’s worth.
Visited the Soho Tavern yesterday for the first time I was a bit surprised when I walked into the pub I was expecting it to be a spit and sawdust pub. It was packed to the rafters with folk eating the smells were amazing, we had booked a table for 9 and the waiter led us to the upstairs section which was clean bright and quiet. I’ve looked at some of the reviews and I’m not sure if they were in the same place as they said limited veggie options well it has 2 menus a meat menu and a veggie and vegan menu
First visit. Popped in for take away very pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and general vibrance of the place. looks like a great place for meat eaters. The dishes on route to the tables were sizzling. I ordered saag and daal. Was struggling to find a vegetarian dish. I liked the taste of the daal but the saag was thin, runny and no richness of taste. Oh well at least the Soho Tavern doesnt mess with the chillies.

You can’t go wrong with Soho Tavern. I’ve eaten here since 2015 and the food is always great. Staff behind the bar and management keep Soho Tavern going. It’s no surprise that brand has ventured out to Newcastle and recently Henley/Solihull. It’s not easy running a mixed grill let alone a pub. Full praise to chefs, staff and management.
I've been to a few of these Indian grill places, and i can honestly say that this is the best one that i have been too, the food was excellent, the staff were really friendly and helpful too, i will definitely be coming back and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of going.
Here I am taking after review on Google already. We did a large order yesterday. The vegetarian food was excessive and as meat dishes was afraid. Very cheerful atmosphere. Must try if you are a group of friends hanging out. Im sure they know how to do stuff. Great restaurant.
The food made my partner vomit all evening. We ordered a vegan meal and they fed us, vegans, chicken. They acknowledged their mistake but this does not change the fact that they fed meat to someone who has chosen to not eat meat for 10 years.

One of my worst dinner experiences. The service was awful. The restaurant should seriously think about the way they treat people. The food was tasteless. I would never visit this restaurant again.
Very good food pity no table service for drinks. Decor beautiful outside terrace stunning friendly staff
