we called without booking, nice lady checks if they could fit us. simple menu, but great eating! we ordered half a chicken and it was like advertised a whole juicy half-huh with lots of nice veg, brilliant yorkshire puddings and perfect flower cabbage cheese, good gravy too! friendly service and many natives seem to call in fora. drink and see a talk while I wait to collect their lunch on Sunday and I can gather and I can see why. we will definitely return. hidden gems
We have just returned from a delicious lunch at the Saddle. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.We had fish and chips and steak and chips.The fish was delicious lovely crispy batter and the steak was very well cooked. The chips were also delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was not busy which is a shame as the pub offered real value for money in a friendly environment.We will certainly return. Thank you .

Friendly staff. I was aloud to wheel my bike through and store it in the Garden before tucking in to a delicious Sunday Roast beef and Apple pie. Will definitely return
We were a family group having Sunday lunch. People were being turned away so I'm glad we booked. The food was well cooked and tasty. Service was friendly and helpful.
