The Night Baker College

I visited The Night Baker College today with a friend, excited to try their cookies, especially since she loves Ube and we traveled from Hamilton. Unfortunately, my friend has a pistachio allergy, and while I was aware of the shop's disclaimer about cross-contamination, we didn't expect any issues with the regular cookie she ordered. To our dismay, she bit into the cookie only to realize that the server hadn't switched the tongs when serving us. While she didn’t finish the cookie, she had an allergic reaction. I understand we should have been more cautious, but I truly hope the shop can enhance their guidelines to prevent such situations in the future.

The cookies here are incredible—I’ll definitely be returning! I tried the new mango mochi; it was decent, but I wished it had more flavor. Unfortunately, the pandan coconut was a bit too thick, making it undercooked. On a positive note, the coffee macadamia and matcha pistachio are definitely going to become regular favorites in my household!

The best cookies I’ve ever tasted, without a doubt. I’m specifically talking about the Ube and pandan cookies—they're simply sublime.
