We were so pleased with our visit to the Oak. First of all, my wife was very impressed with the quality of the cocktails. They take a little longer than the normal drinks to come out but that’s because they are made fresh and definitely worth the wait. Fantastic front of house, the ever charming Will is super welcoming. Really interesting and creative menu the perfect antidote to bland pub grub . Not a heavily battered cod or stodgy meat pie in sight! Nice vibe and very attentive and friendly staff; the managers actually manage, which makes a refreshing change. Lovely west facing beer garden so you can catch some rays and quench your thirst in perfect equilibrium. Above all else, a nicely balanced clientelle in terms of age/demographics. And dog freindly too, so get your pooch 's portrait on the Canine Wall Of Fame . What 's not to like...
I've often driven past The Oak and always thought that it looked like a lovely little place. We wasn't disappointed. We went on Tapas night and the food was fantastic and great value, the desserts were lovely too! The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, couldn't have asked for anymore. Will definitely go back.
The restaurant has recently reopened with an exciting new menu. The food is not only delicious but also comes in generous portions. I highly recommend trying the bang bang cauliflower and the burger! Their cocktails during happy hour are both tasty and reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be returning!

The staff were extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a great place to dine. They offer excellent options for vegans! I sampled both the burger and the curry, and both were delicious! The onion bhaji, in particular, was a highlight!
Personal favourite pub of mine in BR postcode. Hidden gem with nice beer garden. Food is always fresh and tasty. Pub is clean and staff are very friendly. FYI This pub doesn't show Premiership football though and the parking is quite poor outside.
Amazing Thai chef for the Thai night. We have spent a lot of time in Thailand and the green curry chicken and penang beef so very tasty. Asked for Spicy and it was, so good. Highly recommended. Bar staff very nice, helpful and friendly. Good wine.
