Yesterday, my family and I visited The Old Friar for Sunday dinner to celebrate Mother's and Father's Day. When we arrived, the young host who greeted us seemed unaware of our reservation for 7. We were seated next to a window covered with numerous flies, which made us uncomfortable. Despite politely asking to be moved, we were told there was nothing they could do about the flies. Our food took three attempts to get right, and my son's burger arrived without the cheese and speck we had ordered. The restaurant has a lovely setting, the food is top-notch, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. It's also a great value for the quality of the dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for those with dogs as it is pet-friendly.
it really enjoyed our meal in the old friar. the food was excellent and good. the staff is very friendly and helpful. can't fail. they have been to lunch several times and always find the same first-class service.
We had an amazing Sunday lunch today, never been before however it definitely lived up to its reviews, staff were amazing, the food was delicious and hot. Definitely will be returning
