The Old Green Dragon

We stopped by on a Thursday, which turned out to be steak night at the restaurant. I ordered a rib eye steak, while my wife opted for the rump steak. We both prefer our steaks cooked to medium-well, and they arrived perfectly cooked and char-grilled. Each steak came with a large mushroom, onion rings, salad, and fries. The sauce, which was included in the price, was a nice touch - I chose stilton, while my wife went for Diane sauce. Both sauces were delicious. The prices were very reasonable. The service at this restaurant was very disappointing. Our young blonde waitress was chewing food while bringing out our plates and seemed more interested in her phone than in serving us. We had to ask for extra sauce multiple times before she finally brought it out, and by that time, we were already halfway through our meals. When we mentioned our experience to a man with a beard on our way out, he seemed uninterested and unhelpful, saying that the waitress, "Hettie," was new. However, I know this is not true because I have been on multiple dates at this restaurant before and have seen her working.

The pub is lovely, with amazing food served by friendly and welcoming staff. They also have a great variety of real ales. I will definitely be coming back again.
