Based on our experience, you can't rely on the menu pictures you find online. The chicken parm sandwich looked fantastic but turned out to be a major letdown, like a bait-and-switch from a fast-food commercial. They should really consider hiring the person who styled the photos for the food. The pretzel was lacking any salt, and the dough was surprisingly sweet. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight of my experience! The place has a really stylish vibe! However, my food was quite bland. I ordered a burger and beer cheese fries, and both lacked seasoning. I also had the mac and cheese as a side; it was okay, but nothing special. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the prices were fair. Since I’m in town on vacation, I’ll likely explore other dining options next time. The Old Mulehouse offers a modern take on the neighborhood tavern, boasting a creative chef-driven menu along with a full bar that features signature mule cocktails and locally produced beer and wine from Georgia.
We recently had a business meeting at the Old Mulehouse restaurant, and it was truly an amazing experience. From the warm welcome to the attentive service and incredible food, everything exceeded our expectations. The reasonable prices, generous portion sizes, and flavorful dishes left us thoroughly impressed. We regret not discovering this gem sooner and will definitely be returning for future meetings and events. The Old Mulehouse restaurant and its staff create an exceptional dining experience. I ordered the PECAN CRUSTED TROUT and the SPIRAL HAM, both of which were fantastic. As a fan of deviled eggs, I couldn't resist starting with those as my appetizer. Their desserts are also worth mentioning; the CARROT CAKE CHEESECAKE quickly became a favorite of mine, but the WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING had me almost in tears with how good it was!
It's surprising to find such a gem in Jasper, especially with all the good BBQ spots around. I’m excited to return and sample more from their menu!

My family is a big fan of The Old Mulehouse. Their shrimp and grits are outstanding, and my dad really enjoyed the Cod Gyro. The Manhattan cocktail was spot on, and the fries with beer cheese were amazing. I tried the strawberry salad, which was both delicious and refreshing. The service was excellent as well. The bartenders—Logan, Ryan, and David—always take great care of me when I visit. Devin, the manager, is really cool and does a fantastic job running the restaurant.
Met some friends here for dinner. It’s wild because the last time I was in this building was around 20 years ago and it was a NAPA auto parts store going out of business. It’s thriving now.My burger and my wife’s steak was overcooked however, still very good and we did not send it back. All the other food was good as well as the atmosphere. Our server was very nice but you could tell also very busy. Overall a good experience and we’d go back. Recommend ?
We recently had a rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding here. It was a wonderful experience! Chelsea was so kind and easy to work with. Her staff was courteous and helpful. The food was amazing and absolutely delicious. I could not have asked for more.. we were pleased with everything. Thanks Chelsea and everyone at The Ole Mulehouse!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere! The burger I ordered was excellent—not greasy at all and cooked perfectly. The hand-cut fries were seasoned perfectly as well. The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!
Ate the Southern Rueben sandwich with some sweet tea in the outdoor patio. Absolutely lovely and attentive staff with amazing food. My whole group loved everything we ordered!
