We had our first visit to a pub since the lockdown for a proper meal, and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The bubble and squeak starter was beautifully presented, and the Broken Cadry beer was delicious. The garden is lovely, and the interior is just as charming. You might think I gave it 5 stars just because I’d forgotten how nice it is to go out, but that’s not the case. I gave it 5 stars because I couldn’t find a single fault.
We enjoyed the roast dinner, which was absolutely delicious! It came with a generous Yorkshire pudding, ample meat, and rich gravy. If I'm being honest, I would have preferred a bit more vegetables, although the ones we had were cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful. This is a fantastic spot for a tasty Sunday lunch. Price per person: £10–20. Food rating: 5/5.
We had a wonderful experience during our jubilee meal. The food was excellent in both texture and flavor, and the portions were generous. The wine selection was decent, and the smooth Malbec paired perfectly with the lasagna. The service was attentive yet not intrusive. Although we've lived nearby for a few years, we had never visited before. We will definitely be coming back!
frankly the best local pub that you could wish, amazing friendly staff all full of buzz and always smile, could not do more to make their stay more welcome. beautiful garden place with lots of space for her pooch to walk around. beautiful selection of drinks to satisfy every bud. the natives are also friendly, a wonderful friendly baptismal peeps. stop! The pub is very pleasant and has a cosy main bar with character. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The beer was good on on the day of my visit, lunch of locally sourced sausages mash and parsnip crisps, was delightful. The pub is going through a revamp and is a nice location for a meal or a drink inside or out.
The service and ambiance were excellent. Unfortunately, the food was just average. It was also quite noisy inside, which we didn't mind, but it might be an issue for others. Price per person: £10–£20. Food: 3/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.
Always warm welcoming pub whose menu has been a god but could be a bit or miss over the years but seems to have found its feet again. Nice beer garden in the summer. Dog friendly and lovely staff.
