Called into Gil 's yesterday having not been able to do so since the lockdown. Always a pleasure to talk with Gil and his lovely staff. Sat outside and had coffee and cake. The weather was much better than had been forecast which was a bonus. Lovely to see the work Gil has had done as a result of the floods, it 's a real credit to what he his staff put into this place and he always makes us laugh, a true tonic in our eyes whenever we visit. Wispa and Hugo our lurcher Cockapoo joined the 'sausage club ' which they duly lapped up. We 'll be back for a lunch or afternoon tea soon .
I visited for the first time under the new ownership and was not disappointed! The brunch was delicious—a delightful scramble egg with smoked salmon on sourdough bread. The interior is bright and inviting, and the staff were very attentive. The owner also took the time to chat with us and was very funny! I’m looking forward to coming back today with my family.
I had lunch today with my partner, son, and his friend. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was outstanding. The cheese and garlic mushroom roasted sandwich was simply divine! very recommended this caffe. very friendly and dog friendly. very picturesque location. gil spent time chatting with us that was beautiful and took the time out of his busy day to welcome the dogs. the fish finger, halloumi and chili marmelade mayo sandwich is a must!
Picked up an afternoon lunch to take away for my elderly father and aunt. What a magical box of goodies all so freshly made and mouth watering to eat. Friendly and wonderful staff. Awesome place I never knew existed until now. I will be back for more. Highly recommend
