Pasta dish was very nice however portion was tiny which was disappointing considering the price. I did relay this to the waitress and they did bring more , however they sent someone to in the middle of the restaurant to let me know that's the portion they offer and probably attempted to make me feel a little unreasonable. My husband was not happy with his swordfish, texture wasn't great and £23 for some fish and veg felt like adding insult to injury. The whitebait starter was overcooked and left an awful aftertaste. Customer service could be warmer , restaurant was very quiet and food did take a long time to come out. Overall experience not great , won't be returning again unfortunately.
Very well established restaurant in Ledbury but the service from staff is declining on every visit was poor from our last visit. Steak at £35 is rather expensive considering the size. Other meals were a little on the expensive side, however all the meals were good. Please don’t leave customers sitting at the table for ages after being seated and a little smile really does help while you keep walking past ignoring us trying to order after 20 minutes. Venue is clean, tidy, and this style of restaurant has the monopoly in Ledbury. so could be absolutely brilliant if they cared.
We were a group of four and were met enthusiastically by staff who offered us a table outside or in the outside is covered . We went outside and shared the area with a group of ladies who were quite noisy but not a problem other that the acoustics are poor and it made our conversation difficult but added some lively feeling to the meal . Almost too much choice we all had different mains and puds starter was garlic bread and is delicious. All meals very tasty . It’s not the cheapest and they need to keep high standards to justify the prices
I went out last night to celebrate my mom's birthday. There were 5 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see plenty of options to choose from. The garlic bread was especially delicious. My dad ordered the stroganoff with rice and roasted vegetables and he mentioned that the beef was very tender. A bonus was the option to enjoy a low-alcohol Westons cider. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable.

Stunning meal and brilliant service, what a lovely little place! Starters were amazing (especially the aubergine dish! , pasta was lovely. Staff were very welcoming and attentive: Simon was a great waiter, along with other staff, ensuring that our drinks were always topped up. Food came quickly. Compliments to the chefs! Thank you very much.
I came here with a friend yesterday, I had read on trip advisor portions were, small, these people must be very greedy, the portion size and the food was outstanding, vest scallop dish I have had in years and perfect home made pasta and crunchy proper chips, service was exceptional the staff were attentive and efficient, I'm coming back!
Eight of us met up for our birthday meals. A slight squeeze, a few of us have become portly. Genuine welcome and relaxed service. The minestrone and hake particular highlights. On a nearby table there was a toddler who was loud, tired and 'full of character ', it was lovely to see staff engaging with her and keeping her entertained.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. But the food was disappointing. We had assorted dishes. They were all under seasoned and bland. If it had been one dish we would have said something but it was them all. We came to the conclusion that it was a poor evening in the kitchen.

Delicious food, excellent service. The only negative thing was that we couldn’t tip our fantastic waitress as we paid by card and there’s no option to tip unless you have cash.
Bust place. Friendly and professional staff. Food ‘ok’ but expensive for what it is. £35 for a small steak and fries
