Came in for a coffee with my daughter, the welcoming was lovely, the pub was very clean- we ended up staying and having a roast dinner. WOW is all I need to say, the food was amazing, I asked the manager if it would be possible to have cauliflower cheese and this was no trouble at all she said she would be more than happy to get this done for us- lovely to see her back also! The staff were all so helpful. Seems the new management is taking The orchard back in the right direction- we have even booked for next Sunday : Highly recommend.
We have been before with our daughter and family, we visited on Saturday night 21st July, shown to our table, ordered drinks and chose our food, we waited and waited, in the end our son-in-law asked where our food was, 5minutes later it was served to us, it was nearly cold, such a shame.
The advertised price of a pint of Guinness is listed on the Orchard’s drinks tariff board as being £5.05 per pint. However, at the till they charge £5.35. This is illegal. After pointing this out to the duty manager, he refused to sell the Guinness as per the trading agreements.
Food wasn’t the usual standard and felt like a cheaper version. Expensive for what it was. It’s our local and we have always supported the pub, that will continue but I am hoping the food gets better.

Service was fine. Only serving half the menu, surely a pub that has been here this long can make sure they have food in the kitchen! Sort it out or you will lose all the local customers.

Got told to leave for eating a chocolate bar and then threatened with the police when I questioned it!! Never been so offended anywhere before!!!
Service terrible-food awful when we eventually got it. Such a shame as it’s a short walk and is great to sit outside in the summer.

Great place for weekday family lunch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, hot and tasty and nicely presented.
Brilliant service and Johnny is amazing! Dinner was lovely and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend!
