Drove out for a night out and decided on Chicago deep dish. The service was good, however I was seated next to a giant glass door. The inside temperature had to be in the lower 50s. When the pizza came, the first piece was delightful. By the time I cut into the second piece, it was cold. The salad that I ordered tasted as if it came out of a bag from the grocery store. I was glad to leave the restaurant and get back into my heated car. For a 40 dollar pizza and pop, I would have liked to at least have a heated dining experience.
Gino's East in Wheaton offers a great variety of pizzas, including Chicago-style deep dish and thin crust. Both options were delicious. The service was excellent, with our server being very attentive. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating. Despite the large size, we were seated immediately, even with a group of over 10 people on a busy Saturday. There is a convenient parking garage just a short walk away with free public parking, so don't let the lack of front parking spaces deter you.
My wife and I were in the area so we stopped by for an early dinner. I have been a fan of Gino's East since 1968. This pizza is hands down the best deep dish in the Chicago area, and possibly even the world. The sweet sauce, cornmeal crust, and cheese were all perfectly delicious. I only wish there was a location further south, in the Homer Glen or New Lenox area. There is truly nothing quite like it.
The service at this restaurant was outstanding, with friendly and helpful staff. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the deep dish pizza, which is a must-try. I usually eat 3/4 of a regular large pizza on my own, but I could only manage 2 slices of the medium deep dish as it was so filling! The prices are very reasonable considering how satisfying the portions are.

It's been a while since I've been to Gino's East and this was not good! The waiter was fine but the deep dish spinach margarita was not good. There was basically no bottom crust and WAY to much spinach and way to juciy. I also literally almost choked twice on the cheese . Sorry to say probably never come back. Quality does not seem the same as it used to be. Sorry.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I absolutely loved the pizza! The dough was light, not too heavy, and the cheese was not overwhelming like you find in deep dish pizzas. The thin crust was also delicious. The spinach and sausage toppings were flavorful and the service was excellent. It's important to me to have good service when dining out.
We had their deep dish Pizza, and it was delicious. The cheese was gooey and cheesey. The crust was crispy and not doughy, We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the good weather that evening. Our service was kind and engaging. We all had very full belly's.
I've tried Gino's East in Chicago and it is much better. The service, crust, and sauce are all superior. If you're craving Gino's East pizza, head to downtown Chicago. For pizza in Wheaton, try another place.

If you're in the Chicago area and you haven't tried Gino's East deep dish pizza, then you're missing out. This isn't just the top pizza in town, it's the best pizza around, hands down.
We love Gino’s. Their deep dish crust is my favorite. They also have lots of seating indoors and outdoors. They have a section of the patio that allows dogs too which is fantastic!
