What began as an English tea room has transformed over the last few years into an other worldly dining experience. If you are a fan of Dr. Who, Science fiction, or even just unique dining experiences, The Pandorica Restaurant is the place to go on Beacon, NY's Main Street. There is plenty of seating and the decor is pretty amazing to look at, and explore. The owner Shirley does a fantastic job of making you feel at home, even in another dimension. The food is delicious and worldly, based on classic English fare, with many other cultures and influences adding to the plate of options! Oh yeah, and if you have to use the restroom, prepare to be transported in the TARDIS.
This restaurant offers tasty Vegan renditions of traditional British dishes. While the menu may not have a wide variety of Vegan options, the quality of the dishes they do offer is excellent. The establishment is also decorated in a fun Dr. Who theme, adding to the overall atmosphere. However, like many other restaurants in Beacon, the hours of operation are limited to weekends and close early. Despite this inconvenience, I would suggest giving this place a try if you can visit during their operating hours.
I absolutely adore this charming spot. I tried the Brisket Club sandwich with potato pancakes, as well as the freshly baked Jamie Dodgers and a lovely cup of tea. Speaking of tea, they have an extensive tea menu - I had the Doctor #10 and enjoyed it so much that I bought a box to take home. The owner and chef, Shirley, is fantastic and puts her heart into every dish and every corner of the restaurant. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to return.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. We went mainly because we are Dr. Who fans and it was recommended by a friend. It wasn't disappointed. The decor was great. The ambience was wonderful! The food was fresh, well seasoned and pleasant. Dessert and coffee was great. The service was friendly, helpful and courteous. Very recommended. Don't forget to walk the bathroom there. Such a fun stop if you’re a fan of Doctor Who! From the decor to the names of the dishes. The food is very good but be prepared to spend a little money, it’s not the cheapest option on Main St. The main reason to do it is decor! So much fun! Giant painting of the Tardis explosion and everywhere you look there is another aspect of the show there to surprise you. Love it!
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for years and it did not disappoint. The entire establishment is themed around Doctor Who and the attention to detail is impressive. Check out the back of the bathroom door and you'll see what I mean. I tried the fish fingers and custard (as well as the fish and chips, of course!) - very British and a really cool place!
Doesn't really need a explanation for Doctor who fans. A lot of replicas from the show. Food is ok but that's not really the focus. Everything here is themed even the food for instance fish fingers and custard. I particularly liked their selection of teas. They have airings of Doctor who on loop. Trivia: owner met some of the cast and is actually British.
This place has good Vegan versions of some British classics. There were no tons of vegan options, but what they have is very good. It's Dr. Who themed, so it's fun when you're here. I give this restaurant a 5-star rating because the owner was fantastic. They greeted us, explained the menu and specials, and even took the time to chat with us about all things Dr. Who. You could see their passion on display, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool.
