Whilst I appreciate these are difficult times, if you advertise a service you need to provide it. We have been regular customers of The Papadam and have a delivery about once a week. Whilst in ‘lockdown’ we were delighted to see that Papadam were still delivering and decided we would treat ourselves to our favourite takeaway, Chicken Lucknow. We ordered and accepted that it took a little longer than normal to arrive (over an hour) what we couldn’t accept was the food they delivered. It looked nothing like our normal dish, was cold, congealed and smelt horrible. Needless to say we did not risk tasting it. We phoned the restaurant and asked them to call to discuss. No response. We have used this restaurant for a long time but it has recently undergone a change of ownership and merged with a local takeaway provider. Despite early orders and a delivery time we have had to call to chase orders. On three occasions breads have not been delivered and recently rice was not delivered. When we have called pointing out the error the restaurant has said it will send the missing item(s) which have never arrived. I have also had to go to the restaurant to collect an order when it was over 40 mins late only to find they had lost the order. This is a great shame as the food is good, although the standard is starting to slip.
Been a regular customer for many of years however we waited just under 3 hours for a delivery, was promised many of time by the management that it was only a few minutes away, 50 minutes later the food arrived, appalling service would definitely not recommend ordering for delivery as they cannot cope. Food was cold, would have been better with a microwave meal.
My food was delivered more than an hour late and when it finally arrived, it was incorrect. The replacement food was tasteless, watery, and disgusting. I regret ordering from this restaurant. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude. With so many 1-star reviews, it's best to avoid this place. It was a waste of £18.

The portion sizes were generous, but the dishes did not taste authentic North Indian. Both the paneer and chicken dishes were too sweet, the chole lacked the traditional North Indian flavor, and while the rice was good, it lacked the proper Indian seasoning.
We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant tonight. The food was delicious, well-cooked, and flavorful. The service was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on a hidden gem!
Haven’t eaten in there for years but do glad we tried after friends recommended it to us. Very welcoming to our daughters. Food was absolutely beautiful
We visited last evening and the food was excellent as was the service. Best we have had in a long time. Will definitely be returning there soon.
