The Park Tavern - Tisch reservieren

This is a lovely local pub. The owners are very welcoming and the bar staff are attentive. Real fire during the colder winter days and a large sunny beer garden for the summer (there are shaded areas). The pub is a small child free zone...but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The owners do allow well behaved dogs. Food is on offer during lunchtime on the weekdays until with a small snack menu available at other times. Lagers are well chilled and there is always a good selection of real ales. Try the place out if you are passing!

Generally a very nice local, however if you drink ale watch the staff with the glass shuffle! Let me explain. Look in the beer trays under the ale pumps and you may notice a pint glass. So this is how it works, you order a...pint fresh glass is brought up then exchanged with the glass in the tray that has beer that's been in it for some time and topped up! So instead of having a fresh pint you end up with stale beer topped up from the barrel. So ale drinkers beware!

I only drink in the park Tavern and never had a meal in there. However, out of all the pubs in the surrounding area this has to be the best. I have been visiting this pub for the past five years and never had a...bad pint. The service and friendly atmosphere is first class. It is old fashioned, but very homely'pub and the landlady doesn't allow riff-raft' which makes it ideal for a pleasant place to visit.

It was lovely to have a drink ahead of Christmas without blaring music, flashing lights or noisy fruit machines. It seems a favourite with locals, has a lovely atmosphere and the drinks are reasonably priced. It's old-style (esp the decor) and that adds to its...charm. The staff and locals were friendly too.

My wife and I always enjoy a visit to the Tavern. They have a good selection of drinks. Plenty of real ale and serve good lunches Monday to Saturday until Currently well set up for
