I visited with an American friend. she wanted to try real 'Pub' food instead of the theme type that is common in her part of the states. we had cheeseburgers and the ganga fries. the fries are spicy, crispy and come with a beautiful hot dip. great to share. the burger was good and tasteful, good portions. my friend ordered drinks and was not sure what to order. the bar delicate was brilliant, and was quickly able to determine what they like and pour generous flavors for them to try. also friendly masters who feel comfortable in an unknown environment. although at the level the accessibility for wheelchairs could be a problem, and the doorway could be a little tricky to navigate, especially w...
barmaid needs happy pills. Eating is decent, but do not make the mistake of ordering a water with their food, and the drinks of their companions. it is said that it is a policy, at least after the self-righteous merciful water (for they cannot be charged) to serve warm out of the hahn and without ice. if they like to be treated like a second citizen (as my wife was) because they do not drink, then this is the place to come.
big pub for real ale, always 5 kept up and in great condition. great decor, a lot of seating. the food served daily 11-7pm. really friendly barmanager neil was glad to let me taste and did not take any nonsense, how should we say unwanted. what you sometimes need. would recommend the phönix
large Victorian pub in the heart of dundee. excellent drink selection, among them several real ales in large condition. eating is also good. lively and busy on a Saturday night, but no problem served as much personal. I really enjoyed my visit. highly recommended when they visit dundee.
