The staff at this restaurant were delightful. The server was very attentive and looked festive in her Christmas sweater. The food was delicious and there were many gluten-free options available. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner by the fire. The menu had plenty of choices for those with gluten allergies. Thank you to the staff for a great experience. Overall, we give the food a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5. We highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips.
Came for lunch with my mum and son, informed them that my son who's autistic and has a restrictive diet wouldn't be eating and has got a packed lunch so would only need 2 menus. Said she would need to speak to the manager. The manager had told her this was not acceptable and your not allowed to eat food from anywhere else. In normal circumstances I 100% agree but I have never had this problem in any restaurant before. Will never return. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Quiet Sunday afternoon, but with food available all day until 9pm, it's great to be able to drop in for a pint and quick snack. The 2 lovely ladies in there were fabulous and looked after me.... I will definitely return! Chef needs to learn how to fry eggs. The whites were brown and hard. Inedible. The peas were warm but raw. Parking: The lights at the far end are way too bright and straight in your eyes as you turn in to the car park, which makes them look light headlights and restricts how well you can see what spaces are available. Visited for Sunday lunch on a cold December Sunday and were soon seated close to the fire. The three of us had roasts, beef and pork, and they were excellent. Portion sizes were generous and very tasty. Stayed for desserts which were great too. Service...couldn't be faulted.
