This was my first visit to The Pie Factory and I selected the Steak and Guinness Meat Pie, for our dinner tonight. The crust was perfect and flaky. The pie was so flavorful, big chunks of tender beef and loaded with all kinds of vegetables. Gravy was full of flavor and the right seasonings. Thank you for braving the hot kitchen and for the fabulous baking. Also, the lady at the counter was so friendly and I was asked if I would like to sample the homemade cherry pie or peach pie. I chose the cherry pie and it was so tasty, awesome crust; pie was loaded with fresh cherries; everything made from scratch. Keep up the good work, I will return for more.
I had the steak pie and the mushroom pie. I personally make a mean meat pie, and am quite the hard sell. But the pies here were so good. Friendly staff. And when I are them k could tell every pie was made with love. Pure solid love. I need to stock my freezer with these pies, as they would be perfect for any occasion, but let's be honest... a glass of wine and a meat pie (or two)is a perfect dinner, even by yourself. Plus I was blown away at the great price! A mjch needed kinda shop in this town. Thanks to the gang there for such a great treat.
Staying at a resort here in Parksville but the food is not that good so we dropped into this pie shop....yeah! Got a small Chichen pie and a small apple pie with a container of vanilla ice cream. Cooked them up in the oven at our resort. OMG...soooooo good. We live in Victoria, if we lived here in Parksville this shop would be visited weekly. Chatted with the folks at the cash and kitchen, very professional and friendly.
Visiting this small shop feels like visiting family. Marj and her team from the Workability Program offer friendly service and delicious meat and fruit pies that are even better than homemade. I make the trip every few months to stock up on a variety of pies, with the chicken pies being my personal favorite. I also tried the best tortiere I've ever had from there, and I'm from Quebec! I can't praise the pies at this restaurant enough. We tried the freshly baked peach and mango pie with a side of vanilla ice cream. The crust was really fantastic and the filling was just right. I will definitely be trying a meat pie next time I visit this hidden gem in Parksville. Don't judge this place by its exterior - it's worth a try!
Had an amazing tim and was not let down at all when I felt like a good pie. The staff were incredibly friendly and made you feel very welcome. This place is a definite must and is a great refresher after all the other poor places to eat in steveston
It's great what these guys are doing for the community. They make savoury and sweet pies. Incredibly friendly and patient staff. Call ahead and they'll bake it for you, or pick it up and they'll provide instructions to bake it yourself.

As New Zealanders, we are experts when it comes to pies, and this restaurant definitely serves up some amazing ones! The ice cream is also top-notch.
