I was really disappointed in this place years ago it was excellent but not now. First of all I don't think the manager's customer skills was great as there was 5 of us and the tables are set up for 4 people and I asked him to put another chair at our table which he did but when I thanked him he never said a word and walked away. Apart from my food everyone else's food was nice they all said but really disappointed with mine I couldn't eat it there scottish favourite used to be proper home made food put together but for example I think there mashed potato is just instant or out of a packet and my beef olives was cold and hard
I made a reservation for one person but arrived early, which was not a problem as our table was ready. I ordered at the bar, which was very busy, but I was served within a minute by the lovely staff. It was easy to order, and the food was amazing and good value for money. The food arrived in a timely manner. I have been to this restaurant a few times recently and have never had a bad meal or service, but today's experience just seemed even better.
A really great pub where you can sit and relax and feel welcome and 'safe ' inside. It 's nice and cosy and the staff were very friendly when I was there. Toilets were spotless. They have a great range of drinks of offer and I loved the different fruity cider I tried. I didn 't have anything from the menu as I 'd already eaten earlier, but I definitely will be back soon to order some food as it looked good.
Stopped by here on way to Xmas market in Aberdeen. One of the oldest pubs in the city. Very busy for a Thursday afternoon which is a good sign. I had pulled mushroom chilli. A bit different but tasted really nice. Wife had scampi and daughter had beef burger. I had a nice pint of Guinness. Wife and daughter gin spritzers. Overall cost £56. Reasonable on this day and age. Visited this Greene king pub while visiting family, loved the atmosphere, although initially we only went in for a drink. We got speaking to a lovely staff member called Charlie who talked us into having lunch while we were there, well done great recommendations enjoyed the lunch immensely. Great service.
After being forced to stay overnight due to a cancelled flight, I arrived at the restaurant seeking comfort food in an authentic setting, which is exactly what I found. The staff made me feel welcome and at ease as a solo traveler, though I would love to return with friends next time.
This restaurant in Aberdeen is truly a hidden gem. The food, drinks, and ambience were all top-notch. Not only do they offer a Scottish menu, but also a traditional menu. There is a great selection of beers to choose from and the staff were excellent.
Visited recently for lunch and a few drinks. Cracking traditional pub with excellent friendly staff. Fantastic selection of beers. Particularly enjoyed the karaage sticky chicken and the fish was very tasty. Will definitely return soon. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
