Additionally, it remains the best dog-friendly pub in St. Albans, where even the dogs can enjoy a lunchtime roast! I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone and would give it six stars if I could. The staff always go above and beyond to assist guests. Although there isn’t a disabled toilet, the venue is wheelchair accessible, and they have installed ramps to provide additional support. Overall, it’s a perfect spot with a welcoming atmosphere that leaves no room for complaints.
Tonight, I had a lovely time with my wife, stopping for a quick pint or two on our way home. We ended up having dinner and were very impressed. I ordered the chili, which was fantastic, and my wife had the carbonara, declaring it the best she's had in a long time. We both enjoyed our meals immensely. Thank you!
The food was excellent, especially the roast. I highly recommend it! I've dined here before, but this time was truly enjoyable. It’s a charming little pub with very friendly owners. I can't wait to return. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic Sunday dinner—great value for money and plenty of it!
Semi-regular since 2013ish. Well kept beer, good quality food in good sized portions, friendly staff, small and cozy, nice beer patio, right next to church (bell ringing practice Wed evenings! , background music seems to feature a lot of Rod Stewart. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Lovely Sunday lunch, and very friendly staff, will definitely use this as our half way meeting point when we drop the grandchildren off, daughter lives in Essex and we live in Bedford. See you very soon.
Landlord and staff are friendly, food is really lovely home cooked food. Pub is so warm and relaxing. A real country pub which is very rare to find these days.
