Nice pub in a nice quiet location with good parking and a large garden. Service good. However what I didn’t like were 2 things: one was the unpleasant smell pervading the bar area near to the exit to the garden. Second was the inability of the pub to make a substitution of rice instead of quinoa when I tried to order the roasted salmon. They had apparently run out of quinoa but refused to replace it with anything else like chips or rice. The most unacceptable part of all this was the fact that although the salmon with quinoa came without quinoa, they would not either make a substitution.or reduce the price. I eventually opted for the hunter’s chicken which came with chips but I again request...
We were there as a pre organised group meal. Despite the place knowing what the food order was before we arrived and how many people there were it was still nearly 40 minutes before the starters arrived. Then nearly an hour for the mains which were cold with inedible vegetables. There was another long wait for deserts. The place was freezing. We will never be going back. Probably the worst experience for a meal that I have ever had.
Always like this pub , met up with some Work Colleagues for a end of term drink food . Real ales were very nice , The Food was very nice indeed , The Staff were Friendly and very helpful. Would use it a lot more if it was closer to me . Plenty of space inside and it has a nice large Car Park and Beer Garden .
Very poor meal. We ordered 5 minutes earlier than our friends but their meal took an hour longer to come out than ours. My hunters chicken was dry with next to no sauce and we had food missing from the dishes (coleslaw, bread etc). I would definitely not recommend this place!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Been going here for years. Lovely atmosphere, large pet friendly garden, professional and friendly staff. Brilliant summer drinks selection loads of ciders and gins to choose from. Shame the summer menu doesn't match, no sharing platters, no salads no light summer snacks.
This is a great Pub the staff are first class. Could do better with the lager selection!!!! Food is very good, and they are more than willing to help with bigger events or gatherings. Would totally recommend for a nice winter lunch as they have a real log fire
Finding exceptional service and food at a fair price while away from home is simply divine. Kudos to the team for providing such a wonderful experience. We visited yesterday and were so impressed that we returned again today!
