visited this pub for the first time today after a year in the opposite what a beautiful place. wow, what can we say. from the minute we arrived, were not booked) the young ladies were very welcoming. very dig freindly food was last a pub with excellent homemade traditional food excellent. the steak and the ale pie delicious! every employee we talked with was extremely helpful, cheerful and polite service was excellent. the owner spoke to us and took the time to show us the rooms. everything we can say is what a beautiful place they run with a fantastic team. well made the red lion will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend it.
My sister made a reservation for four at The Red Lion on Christmas. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, although we couldn't finish it all - compliments to the chef. The staff was attentive and took care of our needs with a smile. Lovely, quaint little pub. Outside area is done brilliantly. We stopped in for a roast dinner at around 5:30pm on a Sunday. Meat and veg was great, but potatoes and Yorkshire pudding really were not, clearly been made earlier that day, and been kept warm until being served to us. The portion size was very generous, so still had a good meal without the carbs.
My husband and I went to Red Lion for lunch on my birthday, as we hadn't been there in years and it's located in a beautiful spot. We had a great time. Our waitress, Karis, was very friendly and helpful to everyone, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The food was freshly cooked and everything we ordered was delicious. Came here for a friend's surprise party and we had a few of the spaces booked, including the cellar room. The pub is absolutely lovely, with really friendly staff. We arrived early to set up decorations and the owner Marc was sure to check on us and makes sure we had everything we needed. They're also dog friendly
I was here yesterday for the birthday party of a friend....it was fantastic! brand, the owner, was so very courteous and friendly and took care of all of us. Although it is not even her speciality, they have made a fully vegan meal for the party and it was delicious! I would recommend the red lion at any time!
Excellent pub with amazing food and brilliant staff. I cannot recommend this place enough, the garden is a great place to sit around the many fire pits and enjoy a few drinks. Thank you Mark for the marshmallows and chocolate, lovely touch it really put a smile on my girlfriend's face. We will be back.
We found this pub on our way home, we stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat and I'm so glad we did. What a little gem. All the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help. This pub is wonderful in every aspect. The decor, theme, and everything else are truly incredible. We have visited twice in the last few weeks and will be back again on Sunday. This place is definitely a hidden gem. We celebrated our son's birthday here and had a fantastic experience.
