It’s a nice pub with a good feel to the place. The staff were polite and efficient. We unfortunately had table 5 which is next to an old chimney. There was a cold breeze coming from it so we sat with our coats over our knees and pulled the table away from the metal hood which because it was overhanging the table meant that the cold air dropped onto the table surface and wafted across the top, cooling our hands and potentially our meals, had we not pulled it away. Most of the meals were tasty but the squash arancini were under-seasoned and the squash in them tasteless. A vegan apple crumble might have been good but the addition of mango put us off. the best sunday roast we've ever met! in recent years we have often booked here a sunday as tasty bites, because it is not very local for us, but know how incredible eating and the staff are, it is always worth the trip. we love it so much, we arranged here about christmas a family dinner that was not disappointed once again. my birthday this year was a Sunday that meant a thing. a fry on the red lion! eating was stunning and the staff went beyond and beyond to make our meal special. really great atmosphere, so friendly and helpful staff and always a great menu! for the first time visit this charming country pub and certainly not the last. very beautiful and we will consider the area with plenty of garden space. that was what I think was a cut over most traditional pub evening. a beautiful selection of wine, beer and cocktails. mete one of the owners (nicola,) who was not only exceptionally friendly, but with my table was considered. the class continues!
We had a Sunday lunch, and the food was perfect. Plenty of meat and a selection of vegetables that was cooked just right. The desert was superb. Without alcohol, for 2 courses it was about 25 pounds each. A little expensive, but worth it as a treat.

The atmosphere was so cosy and friendly! A true old fashioned pub with fireplaces and gorgeous wooden beams etc… the food was delicious and service was quick, friendly and honest! Such a magical little find :0)
Such a beautiful traditional country Pub. The most delicious food, outstanding value for money, great selection of wine beers. Excellent service and a really friendly atmosphere and dog friendly!
excellent land pub with delicious food and welcoming new visitors. had high hair for our 13 months old, but unfortunately no straps. would have come again for proverbial eating and ambiente.
Mid week evening meal so pub was very quiet. Very attentive service. Lovely and cosy and christmassy. It was steak night and it was first class! Very reasonably priced too

excellent opportunity night with friends. fish chips was a perfect tasty bite. a fired Christmas tree, which looked festively, set the scene for a cozy dinner.
Good atmosphere with a full house, very good service good food. Just moved to area pleased we have such a good Local!
