The jerk seasoning was impressive; the chicken was tender, flavorful, and literally fell off the bone! The rice and beans were also infused with the jerk sauce, which had a delightful tang. The plantains were a highlight, perfectly fried with a crispy exterior and a soft inside. Everyone in the group enjoyed the food overall. One minor complaint was that the chicken wings were the smallest we’ve ever encountered, prompting some jokes about whether they were from pigeons or hummingbirds! Despite their size, the habanero/mango sauce was a standout hit. Our ratings ranged between 4 and 4.5 stars. One of the chicken wing enthusiasts mentioned he would have rated it a 5 if the French fries had b...

It's a no for me. When you walk in the smell will trick you because it smells amazing. However there's something missing or lacking. I had the jerk chicken. I asked for the white meat which is an up charge and of course they didn't have it. The portion size seemed to be small for what we paid for. I had plantain and macaroni and cheese as my sides. The other plate we ordered was curry chicken with cabbage and plantain as the side. The curry chicken tasted flat but no curry flavor to it. The spices were there for both meats but it seemed like it lacked the flavor. Also the confusion of where to order. Is there a take out section? We watched people sit down to eat and ended up having to get up...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Reggae Grill, where I tried the ackee and saltfish accompanied by sautéed fried plantains, rice and peas, rum cake, and cola champagne. I was absolutely delighted! The ackee and saltfish were perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked. The plantains were crispy on the outside while remaining soft and sweet inside. The rice and peas were both flavorful and moist. The rum cake was deliciously moist, and the cola champagne provided a refreshing, bubbly touch. Overall, I was very impressed with the meal; the food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Jamaican. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Reggae Grill t...

I was in town visiting one of our grandchildren who was in the hospital and decided to grab a bite to eat. The food was quite good! I've had better, but it certainly wasn't the worst I've had either. The staff was friendly, and it felt like a family-run establishment; you could tell they had regular patrons who visited often. There were a couple of tables outside and plenty of seating inside. The oxtails were flavorful and had plenty of meat on them, but they could have been a bit more tender, and I would have liked a few more pieces. I found the rice to be a bit overcooked, but it was tasty nonetheless. Overall, for a small town, this is a solid dining option!

**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price Range per Person:** $10–20 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 4/5 If you’re looking for delicious takeout, I highly recommend trying their Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas! The flavors are incredible. The Mac and Cheese is also a must-try—rich, creamy, and perfectly cheesy. Don’t miss the Fried Plantains; they’re the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Other standout dishes include the Curry Chicken, which is wonderfully spiced. Overall, this place offers excellent food and service, making it a top choice for dinner!

We found a Jamaican restaurant in, of ALL places, Cayce that is as close to the Jamaican food we would get in the city as possible! The oxtails were the absolute TRUTH! The way you know it is a TRUE Jamaican chef in the kitchen is the lima beans. Unfortunately they were flat pieces instead of the normal size true Caribbeans are used to. This New Yorker is thoroughly impressed and the hubs and I will be back! Service: Take out

The food and service were mostly good, however the stew chicken was not very flavorful like some Jamaican places I've been to in the Charleston area. The collards were tasty and so were the rice and beans and plantains, the coco bread was ok, but hard on the corners. The inside of the place is a bit worn out and the walls could use a cleaning.

That said, the food was fantastic, and I must say I enjoyed that little piece of mac and cheese. My only issue was the portion size relative to the price. Everything else was top-notch, and I heard they offer drinks that create a great vibe in there. Overall, I’d recommend checking it out!
