We ate breakfast daily at the restaurant and drinks nightly at the bar and had a fabulous experience! Delicious food, excellent service at both the restaurant and the bar. We tried the Benedict, omelet, pancakes, burrito for breakfast, all hot and tasty. Our server Ron has worked at the St Regis for 27 years and he was friendly and efficient an excellent employee. Every evening we had cocktails and some dinners at the bar. Again excellent drinks, food and service. The bartender has worked here 31 years. Priced in line with a St Regis, they care about their guests which is RARE today. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the restaurant/bar both need remodeled.
This is supposed to be a Saint Regis Bar. I have been to other Saint regis bars in the country and they have been upscale and quite an experience.. This bar was tacky with respect to its décor and when we walked in there were children with shorts oneating.. The wait staff did not know how to make the drinks we asked for including a simple dirty martini. I will never go backAnd was very disappointed in my experience. No wonder there was no one there.
I like the whole place here at the St Regis, and the bar is excellent. As the St Regis in NY is credited with originating the **** Mary Cocktail I had to galive it a go here in Houston. The attached photo shows the result shrimp/prawn, with stuffed olives, celery (obs), topped off with a green chilli pepper. Thanks to the excellent bar staff it tasted great!The popcorn is really good too!
Great to see that Harry is still there surviving Covid World! Harry is the reason for 5 stars. So many staff members are there for decades including Rosette for Room Service and Harry for the bar. If you stay at the St Regis go see Harry for a drink andget the pork chop at the bar. His service is the best!

A hidden gem! The food is incredible! The filet is my personal favorite, even surpassing that of Taste of Texas! Don't let the old-fashioned decor deter you; the chef is truly world-class!
Very good place for a quiet business lunch where you don't have to yell above the crowd noise to be heard. Excellent service as well and reasonable prices too.
This is a wonderful place with excellent service—a fantastic hidden gem for anyone near St. Regis.
