The restaurant boasts a fantastic location with two decks overlooking the river. I tried the smoked salmon sandwich on rye, which was cool and fresh, served on warm, toasted bread. The turkey sandwich with pesto was equally delightful, with both sandwiches tasting freshly made. However, the homemade soup fell a bit short; it had a starchy texture and lacked flavor, feeling somewhat processed, yet it wasn't quite the same as canned soup. Overall, it was interesting, tasty, and of good quality. Don't hesitate to order a beer with your meal; it comes in an icy frosted glass, and you'll definitely remember the River Take Cafe as the highlight of your lunch all week!
I work just across the bridge and had never been to this restaurant before. I decided to pick up some takeout and found a bench by the water to enjoy my meal. The food was fantastic! I had a Montreal smoked meat sandwich, along with ham and pea soup, and everything was incredibly delicious. The service was friendly, and I was in and out in about five minutes. It's definitely worth a visit! The menu also had a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options.
I visited this restaurant for lunch and ordered the special while my boyfriend had the Reuben sandwich. Both dishes were outstanding, and I'm definitely planning to return. The owners were incredibly friendly and took the time to introduce themselves. This place is truly a lovely gem in this quaint town. I highly recommend it!
If you like salads...wraps..soup...sandwiches...its a good place to eat...thought it was pricey for the amount you get but it was good...they serve wine too..clean and friendly..you have to park and walk there..I gave it a 4 for the parking and I left hungry Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The charcuterie board was very nice however the star of the show was the homemade lumpia spring rolls! They were excellent! We also had a nice salad with berries in it. The back patio had a good view of the river and we were allowed to bring our dog.
Like a French bistro with no tin foil on the ceilings. Moved me to literal tears. Canadian Chef is one to be looking out for. He’s made a name in Trenton and the world should come to him.
Fantastic selection of sandwiches and I had a grey mushroom soup. Staff are friendly and very attentive. I had the smoked meat grilled sandwich and would highly recommend it.
