lovely stay from beginning to end. Lovely warm welcome and easy check in .Good COVID precautions in place BUT sanitizer smelt unpleasant. Had to wash hands asap. That is my only criticism. The room was lovely.Nice and clean and bright. Decor was tasteful.Tea and coffee making facilities and some tasty biscuits. lovef the bathroom.Nice big shower . Complimentary toiletries and lovely soft towells. When we went for food the staff were nice and helpful.Food and drinks served quickly with a friendly chat but nit too intrusive. Slept well. The food was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations—hats off to the chef! Everyone praised their meals. For our evening buffet, we requested some nostalgic retro food rather than “fancy fare.” My partner had a craving for cheese and pineapple, along with pickle sticks. When I shared our requests with Julie, she loved the idea. Instead of the basic grapefruit topped with sticks we had anticipated, they surprised us with adorable hedgehogs! Our honeymoon suite was stunning, and the thoughtful little touches from the staff were delightful. We recently celebrated our wedding at The Riverside this past weekend, and they did an incredible job. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was well organized. The food we selected was delicious, and there was more than enough for everyone. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the day. The bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable, contributing to a truly memorable experience for all our guests. Everything went perfectly. My husband an I stayed here while on a working trip. Our room was quite spacious with a lovely view of the hotel grounds and river. Loved the staff. So very kind. Having stayed here for a week, it felt more like a home away from home. Sabrina, our server at breakfast, was amazing. Our meals were delicious. We visited in October of 2020. We never imagined it would be our last trip out of the US for a while. We look forward to the time when we can visit again. We will stay longer. So many beautiful memories were made. The day itself could not have gone any better; I wouldn't change a thing. We were blessed with perfect weather, and everything went off without a hitch. The venue was beautifully decorated, all the staff were wonderful, and the food was outstanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. The staff was friendly and efficient. The dining area was spacious and located in a stunning building. The food was both delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a wonderful experience at reasonable prices.
