We just returned from our first visit to The Rock during the 5th day of our annual family holiday in North Devon. We were unsure if we wished we had discovered this beautiful place earlier or if we were glad we hadn't because we would have spent a fortune wanting to visit every day! We had an amazing meal with our 8-year-old son, who enjoyed the excellent service. As someone who is conscious about fitness and health, I am always meticulous about the meals I eat, but I treat myself when eating out. This local pub is fantastic! We visited based on a recommendation and without a reservation on a Bank Holiday Monday for lunch. Despite this, they graciously seated our party of 9 at short notice. We would definitely return if we are in the area again, as the food, drinks, and service were all excellent. Everyone in our group, including the children, was very pleased! The seafood dishes were particularly outstanding.
The Rock Inn is a fantastic little find! I visited last Tuesday with a group of sixteen and we were greeted by friendly staff and excellent service. The highlight was definitely the food - it was outstanding and great value for money. I highly recommend trying the pork belly, it was delicious.
