Hard to find a quiet place in North Sydney CBD...but this is about as good as any you'd find. Perfect and with strong proper meals for that overdue catchup, business powwow or to sit and read a book and be alone with your thoughts. Staff are friendly and flexible to customise your meal (I had a chicken matso ball soup without the matso ball, as displayed below). Coffee was spot on. Well recommended.
Roots is a somewhat hidden yet popular coffee and lunch spot in North Sydney. It's ideal for work lunches, and their salads are absolutely incredible! I've also recently begun visiting for breakfast due to the excellent coffee and the peaceful ambiance in the mornings.
I had one of the best Wagyu beef burgers I've tasted in a long time. It is a bit pricey and quite crowded during lunchtime, but it's definitely worth a visit. Just a heads up: skip the chips, as they're not great—worse than McDonald's!

One drawback was the seating in the outdoor area; the chairs and tables didn't seem to match in height, which made it a bit awkward to eat and cut my food comfortably.
I don’t have intolerances, but sign me up for more!! This muffin is dairy free and gluten free and absolutely delicious!! Coffee is great too!
