Staff here were rude. They were initially fast to seat us, immediately handed us our menus and literally immediately asked us what we wanted to order. I hadn't even opened my menu. The waitresses attitude when we asked to have a few min to look made us feel we were a huge annoyance. She said she would come back. She didn't. We went to the counter to order. There was no acknowledgement of our presence at the counter eventhough there were 3 staff members there. Evidently it takes all 3 of them to work a cash register despite there being no other customers at the counter. The store had a total of 3 tables occupied, with a total of 8 patrons including us. The food was expensive for what it was a...

Dinner for 4 I booked by phone. Long wait at the counter for staff to attend to us... I put my head in kitchen doorway for service. Shown to our table. Ordered 2 garlic breads and only 1 came. Waited for the other to be cooked. Drinks ordered and just placed on the table when returned and not in front of the person who ordered that drink. At least 1/2hr and no table service so I went to counter. Girls in kitchen again so had to ask was it ok to have our main meal taken? Meals we all enjoyed. No follow up for more drinks or desert.Sand bar was not busy as only 2 other tables beside us. We went out of our way to dine somewhere different on such a beautiful night and was very disappointed with...

At last a decent restaurant has opened in Lauderdale after the closure of Eating on the Edge. The view is unchanged, but the food is better. There is less choice on the menu, but I am always suspicious of places with large menus since it is more difficult to get numerous items right. The steamed mussels and seared duck breast were superb. My only complaint would be that someone was too enthusiastic with the blow torch where browning the crème brulee. The service was great and there was a good selection of wine by the glass. We will definitely be going back.

Mid week lunch that was more than we expected. Device was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Be sure to check the specials board as well as the menu. I had the Sandbar chicken breast with prawns and white wine sauce, really flavoursome! My companion opted for grilled barramundi and veg. Old fashioned vegetables and juicy Barra were great. Might be a good idea to book as this small gem was more than half full with families, couples and seniors groups . Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Very disappointing. Food order was mucked up... so somehow kitchen didn't get the order. We received some free drinks which was kind. There were only a few couples there and the place seemed understaffed. The food was pubby. The deep fried food appeared to be cooked in strange tasting oil that was not hot enough? We drove down from Hobart and it was a big disappointment.

Always found the service good. Location is interesting, siting outside looking across the water. Unadventurous menu but the food was good for the price. Nice to sit by the wood heater in winter. Has a history of erratic opening hours. Went by for fish and chips at 6pm Saturday and it was closed. Needs a big open or closed sign outside as it is on the highway.

Nice location, good food, great service. Always have colouring in for the kids and staff are great with the kids too! Lovely wood fire burning on those cooler nights too!Parmi night is great value at about $15 for a number of differnet variations on the good old chicken parmi!

Quick bite in transit to Arm End to see Hobart from a different perspective. Great little find with wonderful staff and great food. The staff were very welcoming and offered great advice on what was on the menu; the seafood chowder is worth a try. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Food, service, excellent. You are made to feel part of the family, nothing is too much bother. I have been there for lunch and dinner with both friends and family and the service and quality of food is always spot on!
