I love this bakery. The sour dough bread is great and it freezes well for longer keeping. Every other thing they make has been made there for years and years.. they stick to the basics of a good old style bakery.. and to what they do well. Date roll is yum.. the little muffins are sweet treats. Standard slices, sweet buns are all good. The flat rolls are household favourites for home made burgersIt's a busy little shop that has been around a long time for a good reason.
We purchased an apricot turnover at this restaurant and were disappointed to find that there were no apricots in the mock cream filling. The pastry was burnt and dry, and the mock cream was of poor quality. The donuts appeared to be store-bought and were also dry and unappetizing. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant and will not be returning, especially since we often visit Semaphore for a drive.
I love this bakery, they have good bread, great pies and the sort of cakes and pastries that your grandma might have made or bought for you as a child. So a visit here is a visit down memory lane with the added bonus of...yummy food.

The Semaphore Bakehouse offers a wide range of savouries, cakes, buns and other baked products, all excellent quality. Service is attentive. Recommended !
We enjoyed a variety of delicious cakes and pastries for lunch at this restaurant. Everything was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Nice place wanted to try the pie floater but was a little disappointed, I can remember back in the day they were a bit different

Overall I've tried must things here from danish , donuts to pies and sausage rolls. All pretty good just priced a bit high.
