We brought a visiting Scout Troop having booked our places several months beforehand. The menu offered was excellent, and the management was well organized having published their Christmas Fayre well beforehand will allowed us to book early. We arrived with an already set table, crackers...and decorations at the ready. The food was prompt and served together with very little waiting time, as were the drinks. Booked a table for on Sunday and arrived early for a drink in the cosy front bar in front of the log burner. It’s the type of pub you could just settle in for the day at and enjoy conversation and good beer whilst...looking at the weather outside. We were shown to our table which had a lovely view over the valley. The staff were courteous and apologised for interrupting our conversation to take our orders. We arrived early but found that our table was not ready, and the staff seemed confused even though I had called days in advance to confirm. It took several minutes to finally be seated. The restaurant was not prepared as there was no table available for us even though we had a reservation. The staff were helpful when we had questions about the menu, but the food arrived lukewarm. One member of our group had asked for vegetarian gravy on the side, but her dish was served with gravy that was confirmed to be vegetarian but turned out to be meat gravy. we went to the morning and were very happy to get a table. (it is best to book) at least a family had not arrived so that we could have their place. from the moment in which the staff entered, were dedicated and helpful. we ordered. traditional Brat-Rind dinner. Oh, my God, they were delicious. clean teller round. for afters homemade trifle. really that was the best trifle ever, I absolutely loved it. my friends had made home lemon cheesecakes. they said it was definitiw homemade and delicious. We often walk up Studley Pike and stop by this restaurant on our way back for a drink. We have also enjoyed a few meals and quick bites here. We really adore this charming spot for its cozy and relaxed atmosphere, along with the stunning views from the restaurant. The bar area also has a nice and relaxed vibe. The staff is always friendly and polite. We highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
The food and service at this restaurant is amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate any request. I went there for my surprise birthday meal with a group of adults and children. The atmosphere was perfect for the kids to play. This has become our favorite place to dine. Thank you so much.
had a pint wainwrights here. it was in the last months to increase .way too expensive(lot cheaper at top brink near) . please think of the local not only the tourist. I can get a cheaper pint in the middle of nowhere in yorkshire dales. that is dead not somethin' or hebden bridge.
