The staff was attentive and excellent during both times my husband picked up our orders. I'm really happy to have found this diner as a reliable spot for tasty meals at a fair price. Our online ordering experience was seamless, and the service was quick. I’m looking forward to dining in and trying their buffet.
In an update, we recently enjoyed a fantastic dinner thanks to their online takeout special menu available Tuesday through Thursday, featuring many excellent choices. We stopped in for the dinner buffet. The food was just not good. The roast beef was lukewarm and entirely flavorless, I had to douse it in salt. It didn't help that the horseradish had little flavor and zero heat. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box and were pasty and pretty cold. The meatloaf seemed like it was mostly filler, and honestly had the taste and consistency of stuffing, maybe they mix stuffing into the recipe? The Haddock wasn't hot and the batter was a bit gummy inside. The perch was better, with a lighter coating on it, but still not very hot. The place is old and run down and really really needs a refresh. I think it had been quite a place once upon a time and so it does still seem popular enough, but it is musty and dark in there. The food is just meh and I felt like there weren 't enough waitstaff. I hope that they take some time and modernize it. I can see that their clientele were in their prime in the 1970s, but that is no excuse to not bring the restaurant into the 21st century.
The meal took a turn for the worse when I encountered a lukewarm, overly soft roasted potato that tasted moldy when I bit into it. After that, I couldn't continue eating, so I moved on to dessert. Unfortunately, the desserts were comparable to cheap grocery store pies and squares. Overall, the food was served cold, didn’t seem fresh, and was unappealing. At $27 per person, it was a very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning.

We dropped by after a morning of fishing and found this restaurant to be quite overpriced for a meal that was barely edible. The servers were friendly, but they had a "take it or leave it" attitude. The presence of numerous flies around us while we ate made the already disappointing food even less enjoyable.
All of the food is made from scratch, and without a doubt, the Buffalo chicken fingers are the best I've ever tasted. The cabbage rolls are just as good as my mom's, and I also really enjoyed the Reuben sandwich. The staff was friendly and attentive.
I tried their chocolate milkshake and fries! The portion sizes were great, and the service was excellent! My only suggestion would be for them to ask how much chocolate syrup to add. My milkshake was so sweet that I couldn't finish half of it!
The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The food was expertly prepared, and it was definitely one of the best breakfast platters I've ever had.
