we went on a cold Saturday midday looking for a warm hearty meal. the staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was really delicious. the chef came to talk to me to review the allergens in the food and to accommodate adjustments. for a starter I had black pudding and bubbly black without the ice creamy sauce, but had a sweet chili sauce that was delicious and a perfect alternative soße. for the main course I had cumberland sausage with chips instead of maische, which was really delicious. we had no place for puddings, because the portions were generous. I will come back soon and would definitely recommend it for the food, atmosphere and ales.
I visited the ship at caton with a few friends and eating was fantastic. friendly staff and good food. the food was well presented, great portions and tasted very good. we were the only customers when we visited, but shortly after we began to eat more few customers. we have been here for several years and have always been satisfied with the quality of food and services. I would certainly return to the future and would not have thought to recommend them to others.
today for lunch. they were busy, but we were soon taken to a table and drinks orders. the menu was standard, but there were some boarded specials. we expected a long waiting period, but it wasn't too bad, the employees were very...efficient when serving and clearing. my fish and chips were excellent well-cooked chips and quality fishes, all they want from a pub restaurant.

Our second visit and the food was absolutely spot on. White bait and garlic mushrooms with Stilton starters. Seabass with capers and lemon sauce for main. Hubby had gammon. All fantastic and good value. Staff were attentive and good service.

Went for the first time last night ...had delicious fab food , courses all was fresh , delicious and nicely presented. The staff and service were excellent ..we will be back .
We ate in the bar as we had dogs with us, there is a restaurant too Food was tasty and filling. The staff were so friendly, we will be back as pass regularly.
