We visited here when visiting family in Newcastle and as it wasn’t on happy cow was concerned they wouldn’t have any vegan options. But to my surprise they have loads. It’s serves vegan hotdogs, seitan, nachos, loaded fries, sausage sandwiches, burgers, Mac and cheese and more all vegan with options for the meat eaters if they have to have meat The food was tasty and good quality so we will defo be visiting here again!! The staff couldn’t do enough for you and service was quick. The cluny is set in a great location between byker and the city centre and is surrounded by cool bars, art galleries and walks along the river that brings you out by the Tyne river.
We stopped by after our Victoria Tunnel tour and enjoyed a 20% discount on food with our ticket. We ordered a delicious gourmet hot dog with all the toppings and crispy skin-on fries, as well as a Philly cheesesteak on a sourdough baguette. We also had a glass of wine and a pint of beer. The food was excellent - flavorful and satisfying, especially the cheesesteak. The restaurant was quiet for a Sunday afternoon, but very clean and the staff were friendly. Overall, we were happy with our visit.
Always been a fan and frequent visitor to the Cluny so it was great to hear from fellow vegans that their menu now has many more vegan options. We shared a mac 'n ' cheese, which was hearty, cheesy and flavoursome and a seitans little helper wrap that had a good texture, tasty and came with a generous portion of fries. The chipotle mayo was spot on. Always a good vibe here, especially on an evening with very friendly staff.
I was pleasantly surprised with the vegan options here. I had a mac and cheese which was lovely, not too heavy. My Friends had the 'In league with seitan ' burger which is an amazing title for a Newcastle eatery 's dish . I also ended up trying the burger and it was very dense but nice!

The staff are super friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the building itself is lovely. Loads of vegan options on the menu now. Especially loved the vegan version of the salt and chilli burger. Will visit again.
Fantastic service and food. We ordered the Philly Steak sandwich and the Lone Star burger, absolutely delicious! A great place to stop for lunch.
