This delightful old pub is full of character and atmosphere, low old beams showing the sloping floors above, old bricks and stone walls with inglenook fireplace. The walls are adorned with many classic pictures of ships, sailing vessels and war ships.. There are a number of different rooms in which you can chose to eat Outside is a large car park and many eating tables. The menu is extensive and there’s a good variety of specials and all at reasonable prices, a something for everyone collection. We’ve eaten here a number of times and always been delighted with the quality of the meals. Good sized options served at the correct temperatures and nicely presented. Met friends at The Ship, lovely non pretentious pub. I had steak and chips, the sirloin was one of the nicest steaks I have had in a long time. 3 of us had steaks and my wife had the beef stroganoff and loved it. Will happily return to spend our hard earned cash again.
