I’m giving this restaurant a one-star review because it’s highly overrated. My partner and I decided to dine here for our last night in Windermere, excited about the 4.7-star rating and looking forward to some starters and desserts. However, we found that there were no options available for either, despite what was advertised on the wall inside the restaurant. The place also didn’t match the images we had seen; it’s clearly not what it used to be. When we offered some constructive feedback, it didn’t seem to be well-received. The owner appeared unmotivated to make any improvements and mentioned that it’s just a simple pizza bar, so if you’re in the mood for pizza and a drink, it’s okay, but...
This is my second visit, and it was just as brilliant as the first. My wife and I come to the Lakes at least once a year, and she always chooses a nice restaurant for dinner. For the past few years, I've insisted on adding a pizza stop at the Smith. The atmosphere is fantastic, with great music and a wonderful selection of beers and gins. The pizzas are fantastic too! I really appreciate the simplicity of their concept—a perfect combination of drinks and pizza.
Wow. Amazing pizza. The venue is on the ramp on the way up to Booths. Its a bit dark round there so be careful. Booths car park is big. Staff shortages but the 3 staff were impeccable, friendly and enjoyed serving our gang of 8 plus 2 tired toddlers. Called in for a cocktail after dinner after a locals recommendation. Saw pizza on other tables and would definitely have tried if we hadn't eaten as looked delicious. Very friendly staff and lovely cosy atmosphere in this tucked away gem.

It was a much needed stop after a hectic day in Windermere. Limited selection of pizza to choose from but don't let that put you off. Pizzas are cooked really well. Nice selection of drinks too. Hope to call again when next in the area
Food was great when mine arrived. But i did eat almost 30 mins after the rest of the table. The chef did come out and apoligise. Still i would probably give them another chance next time.
The most vegetarian pizza place I've ever seen. 2 cm squares of ham on the ham pizza and the chicken had the equivalent of a sparrow breast on it. Good service though
A superb visit to The Smith on New Year's Eve.Great pizzas and friendly staff in a bar buzzing with fun and good music.
