We visited this restaurant for the second time and enjoyed the food. The Yorkshire puddings were a bit overcooked, but still tasty. The sides were also delicious, especially the cauliflower cheese. The beef was tender and juicy. The service was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. We spent £200 for 6 people, which included drinks such as gin and tonics, fries, fish and chips, espresso martinis, and red wine. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would recommend this place. I was so engrossed in the delicious food that I forgot to take any photos.
We visited this restaurant at the end of 2023 and unfortunately, all members of our group got food poisoning. When we brought this issue to the attention of the management, they responded defensively and showed no remorse. The hygiene rating of the restaurant has recently been republished as 2 out of 5, which is not a coincidence. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. In terms of ratings, the food and service were both rated 1 out of 5, while the atmosphere was rated 2 out of 5.
The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. I can overlook the fact that my food was served on a slightly crooked plate, as my main course was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. The Eton mess dessert was enjoyable as well, although also on the pricier side. Overall, we had a pleasant lunch experience and plan on returning in the future. Hopefully, they have fixed the issue with the crooked plates by then, as it feels a bit outdated.
Great location and friendly staff. Food was amazing, especially the sticky toffee pudding, home made and the best I've ever eaten! 100% recommend a visit.
