First time at this place after walking past on Christmas Day and seeing such a good atmosphere. The staff and customers were all very friendly and welcoming. The DJ was fantastic with great music and doing a little quiz about each song. We didn’t try the food but the menu looked good. We had a couple of drinks which were very reasonably priced.
Advertised 2am close. Shut at 12. Excuse busy couple of weeks, staff tired. Surely owner would know it would get busy during soul in the sun, employ more staff or Don't have false advertising. I like straight forward people but at points DJ was rude. On the plus side the gent they had singing live was great.
Great staff, venue, and brilliant acts. Great for a bit of soul and a bit of comedy Elvis. If any negatives could be added it is that sometimes bottled beer is not always cold and coke was flat when used as a mixer. This is not a criticism just a comment.
Brilliant place felt nice and relaxed No better place for all your soul sounds, Motown, Northern etc, Ska and Trojan Heard that the Sunday lunches are beautiful did try and book but they were fully booked so you neeogo book early
We have had some great evening and Sunday afternoon sessions here. Had a nice dance on arrival then DJ played Bay City Rollers Shangalang, Mud Tiger Feet, Oops upside your head etc????!! Come on we came for SOUL.
Great night out. Opened at 8.30 quickly filled up by 9.15 for 1st act. Lively night out decent drink prices with great entertainment:
If you like Northern Soul, this is the place to be. Great prices, good staff and vibe. Entertainment every night, all day Sunday.
We enjoyed our evening of live entertainment and dancing. Well visit you again when we are out there next.
