My family and I have had the privilege of going to the Spread Eagle to celebrate my beautiful daughters birthdays for the past few years. Ella has profound autism and she is so welcomed at this place, she wants to spend all her birthdays here. The management and staff can’t do enough to help and serve and go above and beyond the call of duty to provide a fantastic experience for all. The bar is a cash bar so, no card payments which isn’t a problem as it’s in the high street where there’s plenty of cash points. Great place to go in the evenings too for drinks and friend gatherings. Lovely place lovely staff. If I could give ten stars I would!
I Came here for lunch last week with 2 friends. We ordered the sharing platter between 2 of us and a single platter for 1. When they arrived... Wow!! Presentation was lovely. Lots of cured meats, bread, cheese, hummus , and sun dried tomatoes. Very filling and very nice food. Will definitely go again . The pub was quiet for a lunchtime but that may be due to the fact not many people know they serve food. Once word gets around then I can see the place more busy . The beer garden outside was spacious, tidy and clean. Will definitely be returning .. Thank you ..
I stopped by for a late drink and the music was playing, giving me a good idea of the atmosphere inside. However, I was taken aback by the aggressive greeting from the man at the door. As a woman of a certain age, I did not appreciate being spoken to in such a confrontational manner. When I asked a simple question, I was met with a growling response. It seems that the alpha male approach is still alive and well at this venue, despite the progress we've made in moving past it.
I entered the restaurant hoping for a enjoyable evening, but was disappointed when I had to wait at the bar for a long time despite it not being busy. The owners were rude during our conversation and because of this negative experience, we have decided not to return. I would recommend avoiding this establishment.

Good atmosphere on a Friday night. DJ and dancing. Zero music nights are great. Martin Day DJ nights are hit and miss as sometimes get an old crowd only for this. Bouncers are friendly and do a good job of keeping it trouble free. Cash bar is a bit of a pain but staff serve quickly.
We reported someone bothering us but it was not addressed. The restaurant only accepts cash which seems suspicious. It's best to avoid this place if you are looking for an authentic experience and want to feel safe.
Pubs ok, bouncers need to show more respect their were 2 on the door one was really good the other thinks he is something he is not, want to be more polite to customers
Good fun! Locals where friendly and welcoming, old fashioned type of pub with people singing. Would highly recomend, for a nice relexed evening out x

Visited with friends and Famo on Xmas Eve Afternoon, really good atmosphere, DJ spinning some super disco classics, no trouble, very enjoyable.
Had a great party atmopshere great uptown dj wayne the night we went there. other djs from uptown also good
