This was my first visit here. The staff are friendly and polite and showed us to our table, We ordered our food and drinks. We didn't wait long and our food was served. This has got to be the worst food I have ever had anywhere. It was overcooked microwave food and was inedible! I complained and it was taken away and I was given a fresh meal that was only slightly better. We ordered the warm frangipane, this was served cold. We mentioned this and it was taken away and warmed up in the microwave. I won't visit here again and I imagine if they carry on serving such awful food alot of other customers won't bother returning. 5 stars to the serving staff but sack the so called chef!!!
Andy has been a regular face each time we have been to the stag. Have to say he's great at what he does. Pays attention to what the customer needs and will assist anyway E,g when coming here at first asked If there was any allergies (which my partner does) and was very helpful. Always a pleasure to come in with great friendly staff (not just Andy they are all great) Recommended to friends and family.
The Stag serves a great breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, it’s not a vast menu, but should suit most people’s tastes. The food is of excellent quality, freshly cooked to order. We four of us chose the main breakfasts and the Wraps, all served by very friendly and efficient staff, in great surroundings. We can highly recommend the Stag at Walton.
Another good Sunday lunch. We had starters of black pudding with mustard sauce and chicken paté. The we had the small beef and lamb roasts. All our food was very tasty. Prices are reasonable and service was good.

Service was very good. Food was cooked well. Was disappointed with my Supreme of Chicken it was a small portion for the price, definitely needs either more dauphinois potatoes or vegetables.
All 4 of us had a lovely time. All of the food was great. Good selection of food including catering for gluten free. I would recommend the salt and pepper chicken and the chicken parmo.
Had a great breakfast here this morning, all tasted amazing! Really good quality ingredients, will come back! :
