I had a disappointing experience with the service. I ordered two coffees and was given to-go cups despite sitting inside, which didn’t bother me initially. However, when I sat down, the table still had dishes from previous customers. When I asked staff to clear it, they said they don’t do that for takeaway orders. Additionally, the bench I sat on had cigarette butts and a dirty needle lodged between the slats, which was frankly appalling. While I understand the benches belong to the city, customers of this café frequently use them and leave behind trash, so The Stagg Midtown has a responsibility to keep them clean.
