I recently had a wonderful meal with friends at this restaurant between Christmas and New Year. Although we missed out on the set menu, we were still able to choose from the restaurant menu as well as the bar menu. I appreciated the variety of options available for dining within the pub. I started with the seafood platter, which included crayfish cocktail, mackerel pate, smoked salmon, langoustines, and bread. The dish was delicious and my friend and I both enjoyed it. For my main course, I opted for the seabass fillet with garlic new potatoes, braised fennel, peas, and lemon butter. I visited a couple of days ago and I was amazed with this place, great environment, people was very friendly and owner, I believe he was, approach us a couple of times to see how was everything. We started with some Chilli Nachos, my 4 years old really enjoyed his chicken nuggets, very nice proper moist chicken breast, I got to assamble my own home made burger with a side of their Filthy Fries , please try them, my wife had the Hunters Chicken , she thought it was very nice, a bit too much barbecue sauce for her like though. we have passed this pub many paintings, but never dared until we read reviews on ta last night and must say we were not disappointed today a good menu with traditional foods and Mexican Korean sandwiches something for all we met with a cheerful smiles from the merciful that order our drinks while we went our food for us both on bark caserole while waiting for the traditional pub and well cooked
I have visited The Wellington Heifer multiple times and each visit has been welcoming. The menu options and food have always been fantastic, as well as the service. As a vegetarian, I often find limited options at pubs, but The Wellington Heifer offers a wider and more creative vegetarian menu. It is definitely a favorite dining spot for me.

a little pub I have to admit, surprises me. Stop eating for a quick bite, the standard powder menu was so surprised what we presented. ordered the chicken plate that fancier much more than I expected. nice eating, so well cooked and flavored and beautifully presented. compliments to the chef, we will definitely return.
Brilliant lunch today. After finding 6 pubs closed whilst on a bike ride, we were welcomed into the Standard by a helpful, cheery guy and ordered from an extensive menu even though it was 2.30pm. Well done!

Absolutely beautiful food.Onion rings are the best iv ever eaten.We will definitely be going back for dinner tonight again on our last night of our stay in Northallerton.

Nice pub food at reasonable prices. Good choice. Friendly staff. But it is really a pub rather than a restaurant
