If you want to spend over £200 for an annual mother's Day lunch, steer well clear! My partner and family didn't complain at the time out of courtesy to their mother. Home now, so here goes... Lumpy mash, undercooked parsnips, overcooked carrots, rock hard Yorkshire puddings. Spending that sort of money, you expect a certain standard which you failed miserably to achieve. Kitchen staff still paid? They must be laughing all the way home. Hopefully, it should be sorted by next year; sadly we won't be there to witness it. In the catering game you only get one chance, sadly you've had yours and failed miserably.
Warm and welcoming platform public house solid selection of ales and other drinks, with a changing range of food options. Pet friendly though I can’t promise the handsome dog who greeted us on our visit will also be there when you attend A range of parking options are nearby, but it also sits directly on Urmston train station if you prefer to keep your options open. Add in the pool table with a dedicated sports TV in the back (which helps keep the rest of the place quiet) and it’s an ideal place to just pop in and chill out.
The meat and vegetables at this restaurant were cold even after I brought it to the staff's attention and they replaced the vegetables, which were still cold. I also mentioned that the gravy was burnt to the lady but nothing was done about it. It's disappointing because everything looked good. We ended up spending £70 for 4 adults and 2 children, and it was a waste.
No idea how I missed this place for so many years. That's some good venue with some proper lager, good cask options and a gentle and not overly loud music. Cool place to catch a breath and enjoy a few pints with your friends. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The steamhouse is a really good place to go and have a few pints and maybe a bite to eat. With friendly and helpful service.
