This is a lovely country pub that always has a vibrant atmosphere. Went to the Stone Horse last night for dinner as not far from friends in Cliffe Woods and found a nice, happy atmosphere. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating as were the owners who brought over our meals. We had steak ale pie, sausage mash, veggie lasagne and curry chips and all went down very well! I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic, the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the locals are wonderful. They have a great selection of wines and some nice craft beers as well. It's definitely worth a visit!
