Great pub. Pre booked in advance in the casual dining section which is dog friendly. Really nice decor in inside. You order up at the bar. Great selection of drinks. Service was great and food was nice. Desert was definitely the best course, I had the eton mess and it was one of the nicest I've ever had. There's also a dog menu. Plenty of parking and easy to get too just off the motorway.
Went today after work. Had 2 chicken burgers and a pint each 2 of us 42 quid wow!!!!!! Possitives first. Tasty and hot Negatives. Tiny portion, the chips come in a tiny clay pot. I took a picture to show you but it won't allow me to attach sadly. No salad, garnish or anything, it really was like children's portions. And price is astounding for such poor standards. Make your own mind up.
Really nice and cosy pub, which I have visited many times over the past 5 years or more, but the service in the pub area is just shocking every time. The restaurant seems to take priority, so it takes ages to get served for drinks or bar food. The place just seems chaotic and totally under staffed.
Beautiful interior but quite expensive for a afternoon meal.
