My partner and I ate at this restaurant last night after visiting the neon art exhibit at the St Pete fairgrounds. What a delightful surprise. The menu was fantastic, offering classic dishes like bangers, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, as well as a variety of sandwiches. The owner was incredibly friendly and shared the history of the restaurant with us. The entire staff provided excellent service, particularly Jeremy, our server. He made great recommendations and was truly exceptional. I can't remember the last time I received such outstanding service. Came here for a date night dinner with my wife on 9/30. We were huge fans of the Moon Under Water (and Pom Pom), and were both eager eat here. The food was simply awful! We ordered shishito peppers, and they tasted and smelled like cigarette butts. We both ordered Tikha Moon Masala (our favorite from Moon Under Water). It too was inedible. The chicken was so tough you couldn't even chew it. The curry was bright red and had huge chunks of canned tomatoes in it. There are plenty of options to choose from at this restaurant, with rotating specials that always offer a vegan dish. Currently, the special is a Malaysian coconut curry with vegetables. I opted for the bangers and mash with baked beans as a vegan alternative to onion gravy, and also tried the dragon vindaloo curry which is extremely spicy. Other menu items include a vegan shepherd’s pie, Impossible Burger melt, veggie flatbread, and even vegan chocolate ice cream. I've been in St. Petersburg for two years and can't believe I waited this long to visit this restaurant. The Coconut Malaysian curry special was amazing, a definite 10/10. The Mojo chicken special was also very flavorful. This place is a gem! The beer selection was good, the entertainment was great, and the music was fantastic. I highly recommend it. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all get a perfect score of 5.
Food is good. Didn't make my top 10 list but an OK stop. Sandwiches are decent, service is warm and friendly, and atmosphere is picnic (ie -ish).
