Every time i am in Adelaide i have fish and chips from this special takeaway joint. All the food is good but the deep fried flake is very special - the batter is crisp and clings to the brilliant white flesh of the flake. The flake is light and fluffy and always the right size. Garfish and other fish are also very good - if the fillets are small they'll give you two. Chips are cooked in cholesterol-free oil and are very good - especially with chicken salt. Burgers and steak dangers are also of a very good standard. High;y recommended - buy some and walk 200m to Henley Beach and watch the sun set.
The line up was out the door! I looked online for the best fish and chip shop in the Henley area and this is what came up! We decided to try it and hoped it would be good for the 40 minute wait. My advice would be to get there early! They do things a little differently here and you have 3 boxes/trays sizes of chips to choose from. The fish choice is excellent and it all looks fresh and not frozen which is an absolute bonus. All I can say is the fish was amazing and best I have had in a very long time!
I've been going to the Stunned Mullett for many years and have never been disappointed. The lightest of touches with the batter on good sized pieces of fish, golden crispy chips and the freshest calamari make for a very satisfactory take away meal. Add to that the wonderful family, Dino, Amanda and Victoria, and you have a friendly cheerful environment and the best fish and chips in Adelaide.
Had lunch at the Stunned Mullet in Henley Beach. I had the Perch, wife had the Barimundi, skipped the fries. Both were excellent with fresh fish being served.Service was very good and had a nice conversation with the owner..This is where the locals go. Majority of orders are take out. Quality, quantity, service.....All first class. Without doubt the best fish and chips in Adelaide. The owners are great people too which for me makes the whole "Stunned Mullet" experience perfect.
These guys do the best fish and chips. We ate here every single day when visiting Adelaide (sometimes even twice a day). Service is great and the food is fresh as! Highly recommended!
What a great little shop. Food was so delicious and the lovely staff working here are incredibly helpful. Fish and chips were really fresh and tasty. Prices good too.
Worth getting away from Henley square for a quiet meal to eat on the beach. All was good apart from having to pay $1.25 for tartare sauce (come on). Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The fish are all farmed or locally caught, so they were very fresh. The batter was crispy and just right. This hidden gem is highly recommended!
