My girlfriend and I were in the area for a dog walk and decided that we’d pop in to the Sun Inn for a quick drink. As we entered, I wanted to double check they allowed dogs, which they do. Knowing our own dog was quite scared we wanted somewhere quiet and cordoned off so we could relax. The staff were incredibly helpful in ensuring that both us and the dog were comfortable, finding us a little gap away from other dogs which we were very grateful for. Once seated with our drinks, the bar manager (I want to say her name was Holly) checked in on us to ensure we were comfortable where we were and offered us an alternative table if we weren’t. I recently visited the historic market town of Faversham for the first time, and I had high hopes, thanks to a good friend who always speaks highly of it. I was not let down. After a lovely stroll through the town, appreciating its rich heritage, I stumbled upon this charming pub. Its original features and friendly staff immediately captivated me. I opted for the traditional Sunday roast, and I must say, it was outstanding. The beef, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding were flawless, and the vegetables were an excellent and delightful addition. The Sun Inn is truly wonderful. I can't wait to return and explore more of this lovely town.
Lovely old pub, 5-600 years old by the look. Food a bit everyday . (Is it Brake Brothers). What lets it down is the service. I was served three pints of master brew by a young man who had no idea. The head was at least an inch thick due to him pulling the beer with extreme vigour. When I asked nicely for it to be topped up I was told that a pint includes the head. He was informed that this was correct but should be legally 95% liquid. The beer was topped up with very bad grace. I was then subsequently ignored by him when trying to get served again, so I and my two friends (one an ex publican) left. Their loss!
Sunday morning spent at the antiques fair and onto the Sun pub/restaurant, drinks were ordered blackcurrant and soda, easy right, ice in drinks that were not asked for and very week in flavour, the fish and chips were both dark in colour and tasted as thought the fat the fish were fried in was super saturated (old oil), and tasted like it. I rarely leave a review but couldn't leave the food we ate without comment, yes we ate most of the food so perhaps we should have complained but the rest of the mains for me were not an option, I hope YOUR lunch or dinner meets your expectations. Stayed here due to attending a wedding at Judds Folly, great location for this. Apart from no parking at the hotel we did find a local car park to use which wasn't too expensive. The hotel very good value for money, our room was huge a good size bathroom with breakfast included. Considering it was a pub it was quiet in our rooms, no noise from the bar or restaurant! Friendly staff, good cooked breakfast cereals. Would definitely recommend stay again.
Came here for dinner. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was tasty, but pretty expensive and my dish was insufficient. The fish and chips my friend ordered was excellent and very substantial, though could do with proper peas or mushy peas rather than just a small jar of 'pea puree '.
I had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent, although it felt a tad pretentious at times. The service was both efficient and friendly, striking a much more relatable tone compared to the cuisine. The building itself is quite old and brimming with character.

Delicious food! I had a roast lamb on Sunday menu. The Yorkshire pudding is so big and amazing! Roast potatoes are nice. I adore roast veges there! Definitely 5/5 Recommend to visit
