This review is for the restaurant that we visited on Saturday 24 February 2024. We had a very pleasant waitress who guided us to our table. I ordered liver and bacon with vegetables. The liver was overcooked and the bacon was very tough and inedible. Parsnips were totally burnt and akin to charcoal pieces, totally inedible. All of the small baby carrots showed signs of being burnt and scorched. My wife's bowl of chicken with salad came with a rasher of bacon, which again was very tough and inedible. Good food, service was good, they need coffee machine going all day often I would go in there for a coffee and my husband a cider as I do not want alcohol in the day so we end up going home or go elsewhere which is a shame.
Came for a Sunday roast and it was amazing! Food beautifully prepared and the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Will be returning and look forward to trying the nut roast next time
We didn't stay in the hotel but we did visit the resteraunt and really enjoyed the freshly prepared food.
